Altar Service

Men and boys age 7 and older are invited to consider service at the altar.

Contact Fr. Jack for more information or to schedule practice sessions.

Gospel Girls

Girls age 7 and older are invited to take turns holding candles around the Holy Gospel whenever it is read. Candles and lighters are located in the rear of the Cathedral and the Chapel.

Readers

Adults and teens are invited to proclaim the Epistle at the Divine Liturgy.  Cantor John Klapko can provide coaching.

There is a sign up sheet for readers in the rear of the Cathedral and the Chapel, along with a practice copy of the Apostle to take home the week before you are scheduled to read.

St Michael's Food Pantry

Located in the basement of the Cathedral, St Michael's Food Pantry provides non-perishable food items for our neighbors in need.

Parishioners are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item every time they come for worship.

Our most-needed items are always bags of white rice, bags of beans, tuna fish, cereal, and canned meats.

Volunteers to serve our clients on Tuesdays from 9:30am to 11:00am are always needed.

Helena and Paul DeKeukelaere coordinate the Food Pantry:

Chanters

Cantor John Klapko directs a group of chanters to lead the singing at the 11am Divine Liturgy at St Michael's Chapel.

If you can carry a tune and are willing to practice and take direction, you are welcome to join the Chanters' group.

See Cantor John Klapko for more information.

Our kitchen is in operation before Pascha, before Christmas, and before our Fall Festival.

Novices and experienced cooks and bakers are invited to help make pyrohy, holubky, halušky, kolač and babka.
